The new record by Spanish desert rockers The Dry Mouths »Thödol« arrives on Friday 13th May via Spinda Records.

Two years after their latest studio album »Lo-Fi Sounds For Hi-Fi People«, the release of the stand-alone single »T3Ch N3Rd5″ and being featured in Spinda Records’ compilation boxset »Grados. Minutos. Segundos.« with the previously unreleased track »More Oo No Fluid«, The Dry Mouths are back now with »Thödol«, their 8th studio album which has been precede by singles »Den-Dro Sum«, »Milam« and »Dharmata«.

In »Thödol« you’ll find an album in which improvisation and jams are taken to a much higher level than what we were used to in previous titles. Such has been the level of experimentation that the musicians composed and recorded the songs during the first sessions and always using different studio configurations. This, together with the fact that each song had a different instrumentation, makes the album to be full of unexpected turns, quick decisions and improvisations, thus linking with the idea of traveling through the different states of consciousness.

»Thödol«, whose artwork has been made by Ivan Carreño, is also the first studio album with Víctor Gutiérrez on bass (after the fateful loss of Andy Reyes), leaving the formation made up of Josh Morales on drums and Christ O. Rodríguez on guitar, sitar and synthesizers.

Produced and recorded by the band itself at the Desert City Studio in Almería between October 2020 and June 2021, it was mixed by Christ O. Rodríguez and mastered by Mario G. Alberni at Kadifornia Mastering (Spain).

Although the album is coming out on both digital and vinyl on Friday 13th May, a pre-order is up and running at spindarecords.com and spindarecords.bandcamp.com.
