Baton Rouge, Louisiana based sludge metal heavyweights Thou have released a compilation »A Young Person’s Guide To Thou« on April 8th, 2025 via Dog Knights Productions.
Available on vinyl on their current UK/EU tour, this is a collection of previously released material from various splits and a chunk of re-recorded older songs with the current lineup.

Says the band: “Right before Covid we were in the studio recording O Paon covers for the Geneviève Castrée tribute and decided to re-record some old songs that had been staples in the live rotation. We wanted to have an updated representation to use for tour pressings on overseas trips.
»A Young Person’s Guide To Thou«. We had an opportunity to press a small run of these locally at New Orleans Record Press so we got our good friend Mike Jones to sort the layout and @its.trashboy silkscreened the jackets and inserts. These will only be available at shows and in person at Sisters In Christ. We won’t be doing mailorder on this run. Dog Knights Productions is working on another limited tour press for our UK trip in April; if there’s anything left, we’ll possibly bring those to Roadburn and/or the very short mainland Europe run in the summer.
Digitally, we added all of these tracks to the »Hightower« collection on Bandcamp. Peace to you.”

Thou »A Young Person’s Guide To Thou« LP – Dog Knights edition, available on 180 gram black /200 on their UK/EU tour starting 10th April in Brighton. A 180 gram gold/brown/clear fade w/ white traces /100 (online exclusive) edition will launch later this month. Heavy chipboard jackets & inserts w/ dark brown ink & hype stickers for both variants and test presses.
