Torii, the prolific solo-project masterminded by Bill Masino, will release new album »Despaire« on December 18. After a five-year wait, the band’s seventh album continues the journey through the depths with a cathartic variety of emotions and intensity. Leaving the black metal beginnings behind, Torii is drifting through psychedelic fields of post-metal, death-doom, and doom.

Drawing inspiration from the poem »The Faerie Queene« by Edmund Spenser, »Despaire« weaves through dreams and nightmares. The album represents the constant push forward to overcome darkness and make the most of the time that we have left before shuffling off this mortal coil.

FFO: Yob, Pallbearer, Morne, Cult Of Luna
