The Choir Of Agony is a gothic doom metal band formed in Türkiye in 2023. With bleak and spine-chilling melodies combined with fierce vocals, we open the dark gates of the doom metal world to you.

Unlike the familiar “Beauty and the Beast” concept often seen in other doom bands, The Choir Of Agony breaks this perception by consisting of female vocalist.

On brutal vocals, with her unique voice and outstanding vocal techniques that shake hearts, stands Senem Semiz. On instruments: Hürkan Çağlar on fretless bass, crafting a unique and sorrowful foundation for doom metal; Mecit Ege Yılmaz on guitar, delivering advanced techniques and perfect tones; A. Volkan Günakın on drums, with masterful touch and deep command of the genre.

Behind this gloomy yet mysterious background, the band shares their collaborations with: Gogo Melone (Aeonian Sorrow), Nikos Vlanchakis (Ocean Of Grief / Shattered Hope), Mattias Theuwen (Thurisaz / Ka’Una), Tereza Adara Rohelova (Opia), Lucia Amelia (Ghostheart Nebula), Eduardo Harbinger Of Doom (The Cross), Sonia Hernández (Scandelion) and Aaron Stainthorpe (ex-My Dying Bride / High Parasite).
