Pendle, UK based atmospheric doom/sludge/post-metal solo project Monna has just released debut album »Formed In Fractures« on March 14th, 2025.

A love of the power of nature and the northern landscape moulds and shapes the sounds of Monna; sprawling, deep and sometimes severe whilst allowing beauty to shine through, like the moon that, in pagan Old English, was pronounced ‘monna’.

Written and created in a time of upheaval, loss and challenges, Formed in Fractures is a meditation in heaviness, immersion, texture and emotive noise.

Drawing on influences ranging from Can, Emma Ruth Rundle, Neurosis, Godlfesh and Mogwai, the debut album from Pendle based Monna explores the spaces in heavy repetition.
