Dimscûa comments: “Recorded live at St. Mary Magdalene’s Church, Boveney on November 1st, 2025.

The response to »Dust Eater« completely changed our lives. This live session captures us as we are now. In the midst of the whirlwind. Overwhelmed and astounded that this album connected so deeply with so many people.

We chose St. Mary Magdelene’s because we wanted to record in a location that fit the themes of the album.

»Dust Eater« deals with grief, trauma and personal turmoil, but running through all of it is the idea of a shared human connection. You see that in the original artwork: power lines representing contact across this vast and desolate wasteland.

St Mary Magdalene’s Church embodies that same idea running backwards through history. As a site of worship, people have been gathering there to celebrate and mourn since before the Norman conquest. We might be separated by hundreds of years, but we share those experiences of grief, trauma and loss.

Special thanks to Gary Cross for bringing this session to life on video.

In loving memory: Rosemary Kennedy Campbell-Train.”

Dimscûa are a five-piece post-metal and atmospheric sludge band from Berkshire, UK, born from loss and an outlet for grief, a force that still drives every note they produce. Their debut album, »Dust Eater«, written and recorded over four years, distills that emotion into a 30-minute journey of colossal riffs, haunting ambience and cathartic release.

Upon its 2025 release, and without promotion, the record drew acclaim from across the underground and beyond. Listed among Metal Hammer’s Best Albums of 2025 (So Far), and championed by Gavin McInally (Damnation Festival/2 Promoters, 1 Pod podcast). Following that endorsement, Dimscûa earned a slot at ArcTanGent 2025 (booked by co-host, James Scarlett), confirming their arrival as one of the UK’s most vital new heavy acts.

With a physical release of »Dust Eater«, due out on February 20th, 2026 via independent record label Big Scary Monsters, and a second record planned for 2026, Dimscûa continue to transform loss into something vast, visceral, and deeply human.
