Yorkshire, UK based blackened death/sludge metal trio Void Maw has just released their second EP »Arena//Cellular Malware« on September 9th, 2024.

Void Maw commented: “We’re very excited to finally be able to share with you our 2nd EP – »Arena//Cellular«. Produced in September 2023 with Leon Makepeace, it represents a shift towards a more death metal influence than our previous work, and is a solid representation of our influences.

Unfortunately, the release of this EP also marks the end of Void Maw as a live/touring band for the indefinite future. We’ve had an amazing time playing together and gigging with great bands – thanks to everyone who has made it possible.

Void Maw are a 3-piece sludge band based in Yorkshire, UK. Formed in 2022, Void Maw blend a multitude of influences into one hard-hitting cosmic package. Their songs feature the misguided tales of an Earth that is revealed to be an ancient eldritch entity, awakened due to Mankind’s relentless activity. In response, the planet’s geobiological systems begin to kill off it’s biosphere, releasing an horrendous plague upon its inhabitants. Subsequently, the surviving humans create arkships in a desperate attempt to leave their home in search of new ventures throughout the cosmos.
