LongFallBoots is a heavy rock band formed in Warwickshire, UK in 2012. The group is known for their heavy, visceral, and fuzz-laden sound that blends elements of stoner rock, sludge, doom metal, and noise rock, often compared to acts like Deftones, Mastodon, Melvins, and Glassjaw.

The band originally came together purely by accident. Guitarist Alex Calvert-Caithness and drummer Ben Holdstock were members of another local project. One evening in 2012, the other members of their previous band failed to show up for a scheduled rehearsal. Instead of calling it a night, Alex and Ben decided to jam as a two-piece. The unexpected chemistry resulted in a collection of heavy tracks that they wrote, recorded, and released as an EP within 24 hours, cementing the birth of LongFallBoots.

The band developed into what they termed a “second life,” recruiting additional members and expanding into a full live DIY touring prospect playing underground gigs across regions like Bristol and Rugby. In late 2025, long-time members Amy Smith and Shifty stepped away from the project, and the band entered its “third-life” era operating primarily as a tight three-piece outfit.

Over their career, LongFallBoots has maintained an active DIY presence, utilizing platforms like Bandcamp to build a dedicated cult following. Their discography consists of several EPs and two full-length albums, including their acclaimed second album, For The Journey (2019). The album featured 14 tracks and showcased a deeply intricate, scuzz-soaked, and aggressive melodic rock landscape.

Following a seven-year hiatus from studio releases after »For The Journey«, LongFallBoots marked an official return by releasing their 3-track EP, »World Of Thieves«. The record features tracks like »Machina Obscurata« and »Through The Noise«, leaning back into their trademark glory crunch and down-to-earth atmospheric heaviness.

Out in August 2026, »World Of Thieves« is available now digitally and on limited edition red tape cassette exclusively via Bandcamp. Order your copy here: longfallboots.bandcamp.com
