UK epic doom metal band Nine Altars feat. members of Thronehammer, Uncoffined, Winds Of Genocide, Lucifer’s Chalice and Enshroudment has just released their debut album »The Eternal Penance« this Friday, March 3rd, 2023 via Good Mourning Records (CD) and Journey’s End Records (Vinyl).

»The Eternal Penance« was first premiered in full through Germany’s Deaf Forever Magazine.

The debut album from Durham-based traditional/epic doom band Nine Altars.

Featuring 3 tracks of the most sorrowful and anguished epic doom, ushering in the new wave of British heavy doom metal!

Following in the tradition of bands such as Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnus, Sorcerer, Revelation, Penance, Saint Vitus, Pentagram, Trouble meets Witchfinder General, early Black Sabbath and 80’s Iron Maiden.

Recorded in winter of 2021/22, this epic album is the first CD release by Good Morning Records. It will also be available on vinyl via Journey’s End Records.
