UK experimental stoner/doom/space rock act Camel Of Doom return with new full-length album »Splinters Of Time And Other Cosmic Fables«

Leeds, UK based experimental stoner/doom/space rock solo project Camel Of Doom has just released new full-length album »Splinters Of Time And Other Cosmic Fables« on June 26th, 2026 via Walls Of Eryx.

After a lengthy hiatus filled with various other projects, Camel Of Doom return from their decade long slumber with their fifth full length release, »Splinters Of Time And Other Cosmic Fables«. On this release, founder and only long-term member Kris Clayton worked with saxophonist Hugo Lee and flautist Carina Bruwer to create a 75 minute space rock odyssey that hearkens back to the bands earlier space-rock classics »Monolith« and »EarthHammer« whilst drawing additional influences from diverse bands such as Godspeed You! Black Emperor, SWANS and Sunn 0))), Hawkwind and Gong, as well as the bands earlier influences, Sleep, YOB and Ufomammut.

All lyrics derive inspiration from classic science fiction literature by the likes of Isaac Asimov, Philip K. Dick, Arthur C. Clarke, Robert Heinlein and Larry Niven, with the cover art reflecting the style of the classic paperback novel covers of Bruce Pennington et al.

All in all, this coalesces into the most refined and cohesive version of the bands sound as it has evolved over the last 25 years that will appeal to existing fans as well as all lovers of stoner doom, space rock, psychedelic and post-rock music.
