Ukrainian instrumental psychedelic rockers Sex Blender released new album »Naїve Core«; out now on all available formats and streaming platforms!

Lviv, Ukraine based instrumental psychedelic rockers Sex Blender are back with their third album, »Naїve Core«, which was just released on September 6th, 2024 via Smolder Brains Records (MX) / Teschio Dischi (IT) / Echodelick Records (US) / Dirty Filthy Records (UK).

Says the band: “The 3rd studio album by Sex Blender is out now. They deliver a new formula in their sound now more oriented to a soft krautrock. Take a deep breath and get the relaxation that this was created for. Make love not war!”

“This album is a testament to the resilience and creative spirit of the band members, Yurko even traveled directly from the frontlines to record their parts. The work on this material began before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic – a global shock that seamlessly transitioned into the harrowing reality of war in Ukraine. These experiences have profoundly influenced the album’s creation, shaping its sound and message.

Despite the turmoil that has surrounded its production, this album is not what one might expect. Instead of reflecting the darkness and despair of these times, the music exudes a light, positive vibe. The band has infused these tracks with a sense of hope and optimism, a reflection of their belief in a better future. Our intention is to uplift listeners, inspiring them to face their own challenges, no matter how daunting they may be.

Sex Blender is a psychedelic rock band based in Lviv, Ukraine. Their debut release, »Hormonizer« dropped in April 2018 and came out on vinyl via Drone Rock Records the following year. It consisted of 4 instrumental compositions featuring a mix of motoric, drone, blues, oriental, dub, post-rock, metal and classic rock. The initial vinyl pressing sold out in rapid time and a repress followed a few months later. In 2019 along with numerous shows in Ukraine they went on several tours playing at some of the hottest european clubs and festivals with the likes of Dope Smoker, Nadja and Pressor.

Their second album, »The Second Coming«, became available digitally in June 2020 with the vinyl version arriving a couple of months later, again released on Drone Rock Records. The album surges with a more eclectic mix of musical genres and features extra vintage organ and cello sounds.

The band have gone on to release two further albums via Bandcamp, »Studio Session Vol I« and »Live«, the latter of which was released on vinyl via Drone Rock Records early summer 2023.
