Cold Shell is a sludge metal band from Kyiv (Ukraine), formed in 2016. In the searching of the own sound under the influence of Acid Bath, EyeHateGod and Godflesh they made their first LP »Cryonics« in 2021.

The band comments: “We had to talk about the war. Because these are completely real, not invented horrors that are happening here and now. With us.

We have seen in our towns how the Russians mercilessly carry death and despair, relying on their impunity. Nothing more to expect from a xenophobic “culture” poisoned by a sense of self-proclaimed greatness. But we know in the same time, that even after the end of the war there’re no reasons to expect some kind of revival and prosperity, but only walking in a loop of inflated expectations.”
