Ben Vanweelden comments: “This is about 2 friends who were murdered unjustly. Allen Lee Scott was a brilliant musician behind the bands Beneath Oblivion, and Opium Doom Cult, he was murdered trying to save an old man from being robbed. Abigail Miller was a good friend who was murdered while traveling across the country, a completely senseless act. Rest in Power both of you.”

The debut self-titled album from Lowered Head. The curator of the new record label of the same name. Soul crushing sludge/black metal/funeral doom from Ohio. For fans of Hell (M.S.W.), Thou and Asunder. Lowered Head mastermind Ben Vanweelden has many projects under his belt, but this is his most visceral, and gut wrenching adventure yet. Album will be released on his label Lowered Head on September 30th, 2025. This will be a digital release to start, and then a CD release to come.
