US death/doom project A Sow Of Violence has released its new single »Sleeping With Flies« through Circle Seven Studios. The track is available digitally and is the first single from the forthcoming concept EP »The Unravelling«.
A Sow Of Violence began in 2020 as an extreme solo metal project created by Jason Korolenko. Its music works with dark atmospheres, crushing riffs and haunting melodies, exploring contrasts between chaos and beauty, joy and pain, and life and death.
»Sleeping With Flies« uses acrophobia, the fear of heights, as a metaphor for the feeling of falling apart and being betrayed by life itself. Wistful violins, off-kilter riffs and harsh vocals run through the track, which Korolenko describes as perhaps the project’s most accessible material to date while still retaining its extreme character.
Recorded at Circle Seven Studios, Florida.
Mixed and mastered by Jason Korolenko.
