Cthultists is a four-piece death/sludge metal band based out of Columbus, Ohio. They emerged in the underground extreme metal scene, releasing digital singles and two full-length albums.

The band dropped their second studio album, »A Greater Schism«, on September 4, 2026. The record builds heavily upon the slow, crushingly heavy, and atmospheric underground sound they established on their debut album, »Ascension« (2023). The album runs roughly 38 minutes long across 10 tracks, leaning into eerie lyrical lore and visceral, guttural sludge instrumentation.
