Richmond, Virginia based doomgaze/sludge/post-metal solo project Breaths is back with new album, »Descent«, which was just released this Friday, August 7th, 2026.

»Descent« is available now in CD, vinyl and digital formats.

»Descent« is the first installment in a two-album journey through Inferno, inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. Beginning at the Gates of Hell, the album leads listeners through the first five circles of Hell, culminating in the crossing of the River Styx on the journey to the City of Dis.
