Marble Orchard returns with »Ruminations Of Ruin«, set for release on March 21, 2025. Within the walls of a cathedral, life’s misery seems to linger. Although the elegant architecture was designed to demonstrate the glory of the almighty, it only serves to cast long shadows in the hearts of those who are suffering. This distinct kind of melancholy is the foundation for the band’s sound and vision.
The album escalates the levels of both misery and majesty, pushing further into themes of sorrow, grief, and resilience. Each track reflects a different facet of mourning, shaped by personal experiences and the shared struggles of existence. The weight of loss is present throughout, from the emptiness of sleepless nights to the echoes of memories that refuse to fade.
Heavy, drawn-out sections shift into waves of melancholic intensity, capturing the tension between despair and reflection. Funeral-paced rhythms and towering melodies create a vast, mournful atmosphere, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Michael Alcala at Grave Obsession Studios, with drums tracked by Eric Hernandez at BPM Studios.
»Ruminations Of Ruin« does not attempt to escape despair. It confronts it head-on, embracing the sorrow that lingers in the shadows and giving it a voice.
