Says the band: “In elementary school when we were about 10 or 11 Seth and I decided we wanted to be musicians. We wanted to write our very first song. We pulled out a notebook from our desk which of course had scribbles of band logos all over the cover and we began to write lyrics to what would become »Alien Spiders«. The very first line “Alien Spiders, coming to get ya bite your head off make a web” were the first lyrics we ever wrote. We sang them over the music to Korn’s »Freak On A Leash«. Fast forward to today we accidentally uncovered these very corny lyrics from early in our lives and decided to use them in a current song and make the 11 year old us happy.”

Almost Honest’s »The Hex Of Penn’s Woods« will be released on colored vinyl edition, reserve yours now HERE!

Coughed up from a smoke filled corner deep in the Central Pennsylvania rock scene in 2012, Almost Honest is a four-piece riff conspiracy dipped in enough sludge to choke mammoth, enough groove to make the dead dance, lyrics that could summon a Sasquatch and make her sing along, and a tonal brilliance that was crafted by master sound-smiths and enchanted by sonic-shamans.

Helmed by the darkly dulcet guitarist Shayne Reed, driven by the jungle rattling bassist Garrett Spangler, lifted up by the immense leads of David Kopp and powered by the ent-war thump of drummer Quinten Spangler, Almost Honest has evolved into a rock act to be reckoned with.

Focusing the energy they would have put into extensive touring during the past two years and using ritual druid magics, they conceived, wrote, and recorded a brand new album »The Hex Of Penn’s Woods«.

Almost Honest is poised to deliver more of their unique, creamy fuzz soaked, metallic prog-funk potion, with a riot punch live show that Pennsylvania head bangers have come to crave as soon as the world is ready! For fans of Crobot, Red Fang and Clutch.

Almost Honest is:
Shayne Reed – Guitar/Vocals
Quinten Spangler – Percussion/Vocals
David Kopp – Guitar/Vocals
Garrett Spangler – Bass
