US heavy psych rock trio Pleasant Valley drops new single »Preaching The Psychedelic Blues Like Gabor Szabo«

Montgomery, Alabama based fuzzed-out heavy psychedelic trio Pleasant Valley is back with a brand new single »Preaching The Psychedelic Blues Like Gabor Szabo«, released on October 2nd, 2026.
Says the band: “Recorded at Strident Trax Recording Studio in Montgomery, Alabama for Contact UFO Records. This is a bonus track from the sessions for the soon to be released full-length album »Psychedelicum«. Throw on a pair of headphones and prepare yourself for a magic carpet ride! This track features our dear friend and former bassist Shane Earnest.”
Pleasant Valley is a heavy psych/doom trio from rural Alabama, built on crushing riffs, deep grooves, and raw live energy. Their sound moves between slow-burning weight and sprawling improvisation, where structure gives way to volume and atmosphere. With a thicker low end and a more locked-in live presence, the band continues to push toward something louder, looser, and more immersive.

Since its inception in 2010, Pleasant Valley have opened shows for southern heavies Royal Thunder, Howling Giant, and Toke. Their track »Communion« was featured in the 2014 horror film »Death To The World«.
