Raleigh, North Carolina’s heavy rock supergroup Lie Heavy (w/ former Corrosion Of Conformity, Confessor members, also The Skull) have signed to Heavy Psych Sounds for the physical release of their debut album »Burn To The Moon« this April 19th. Watch their new video and preorder the album now!
The well-pedigreed North Carolinian outfit comprised of vocalist Karl Agell (The Skull/Legions Of Doom, Patriarchs In Black, Leadfoot, »Blind«-era Corrosion Of Conformity), guitarist Graham Fry (ex-Confessor), drummer Jeff “JD” Dennis (Hank Sinatra and the Backsliders) and bassist TR Gwynne self-issued their 12-song debut in the summer of 2023 and will now see it issued through Europe’s foremost heavy purveyor in its first physical editions.

Heavy, heavy-ass blues that would have fit on the Man’s Ruin label back in the 90s, around the time that Orange Goblin was making waves. This is primal stuff: not quite stoner, not quite metal, and not quite giving a shit. The album will be released on limited vinyl, classic vinyl, CD and digital on April 19th, with preorders available now through Heavy Psych Sounds Records.

Lie Heavy brings together notable rockers, Karl Agell, JD Dennis, TR Gwynne and Graham Fry. You may know them from some of their musical forays with Corrosion Of Conformity, Leadfoot, The Skull/Legions Of Doom, Confessor, Patriarchs In Black, The Point, Deltoid and The Backsliders.
Lie Heavy draws on the original hard ‘n groovy jams of Sabbath, Mountain, Lizzy and Purple, fused with their own massive experience. So, it is not difficult to fathom why they sound like a well-oiled, hard-working band of 30 years rather than a new entity. Their pedigree does not belie their power. Collectively, they have spent tens of thousands of hours in practice spaces, studios and on stages around the world, honing their vast skills, to find one another in this moment being among the top guardian practitioners at the gates of transcendently HEAVY music.
