»Fever Canyon« puts heavy blues and ambient vibes against a Western backdrop. For the band, the tracks evoke their time on long-ass road trips through the American Southwest in an ailing 1990 BMW 325i. Some music sounds best over engine noise on oily nights when you swear there’s a flying saucer on your tail. This EP is one of those.

About the »The Lost City« video:

Old videotape is kinda magic. Maybe it’s spelunking through dusty archives or the thrill of breathing new life into images long discarded. Whatever it is, In the Ponds bassist, Jennifer Gigantino, is at it again–assembling found footage into an underworldly collage. In »The Lost City«, she leads us on a journey to meet the souls who went down with the galleons and the monks chiming the hours in subterranean cathedrals.

»Fever Canyon« was recorded by guitarist David Perez and mixed by Art Bertik. The front cover artwork was created by bassist Jennifer Gigantino.

In The Ponds is a poet and a filmmaker getting married and starting an instrumental rock band during pandemic lockdowns and California wildfires. It’s a honeymoon spent in quarantine, staring at soot-filled skies wondering how to capture feelings of isolation, dread, and love without using words. Their music pays homage to classic rock while experimenting with atmospheric textures for a sound that’s both familiar and otherworldly.

In The Ponds is:
David Perez – Guitar
Jennifer Gigantino – Bass
