Death Throes From A Star is proud to announce the release of their self-titled EP, available May 16, 2024. Known for their lengthy, reverb-drenched, instrumental arrangements and uncompromisingly loud live sets, Death Throes From A Star brings a fresh take on the genres of instrumental post-shoegaze and doomgaze. Fans of Swervedriver, Boris, and Pelican will find much to appreciate in the unique aesthetic of this Vicksburg-based band.
Founded in the summer of 2017, Death Throes From A Star draws its influences from the shoegaze movement of the late 80s and early 90s, infusing their sound with a heavy undertone that distinguishes their music. The band’s journey has seen the release of several singles, including »Celestial Poisons« (July 2023) and »Glaciers« (March 2024), culminating in the self-titled EP.

The new EP showcases the band’s signature sound: expansive, atmospheric, and powerful. Each track is a testament to their ability to blend intricate layers of reverb with heavy, resonant tones, creating an immersive auditory experience.
