Befallen is a 5-piece melodic death/doom metal band based in Cleveland, Ohio. Originally formed in 2005 by brothers Bill and Brian Hugel, the group is a staple of the Northeast Ohio metal scene, known for their atmospheric and death-doom melodic vibes. Fans of Insomnium, Amon Amarth, Swallow The Sun, and the like, pay heed.

After several demos and »Before The Sun« EP (2023), Befallen finally released their first full-length album »Our Light To The Stars« in March 2026. Their song »Protea« was featured on »Doomed & Stoned In Ohio« compilation in November 2017).
