Uncle Goober is a heavy psych/stoner metal band hailing from Colorado Springs, CO, blending fuzzed-out blues riffs, ambient textures, and sludgy groove into loud, immersive live shows.

“Like Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath had a baby,” heavy psych stoner rockers Uncle Goober take groovy, technical blues/rock riffs bathed in fuzz, and intertwine a delicate mix of melodic definition and ambient expression, all within a sonically heavy atmosphere. Guitarist/Vocalist Layne G Willingham, taking influence from bands like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Sleep, and Charlie Daniels Band, believes in “squeezing all the juice from each fruit,” allowing space for melodies to form and shape the music, capitulating the wall of noise to express itself fully before giving way to the next wave of sludgy bliss. Bassist Drew Smith, taking inspiration from Cream, Queens Of The Stone Age and Kyuss, creates a bulldozer of bone-rattling low end to push the song ever forward, carving out roads of rolling melody for the song to navigate the limitless expanse of creativity.
