»The Idea Of Hope Remains But The Hope Itself Is Gone« is a debut album from Welsh stoner rock e-band We Ride Pale Horses, produced during the Covid lockdown of 2020-2021 featuring guest vocalists from Italy, France, USA and Brazil.

Featuring members of now defunct stoner rock band Viva La Burn.

The album is mainly a series of songs about despair, existence and apocalyptic fantasies covering the decline of humanity. Contains anti-human sentiments, bleak lyrics, and satanic references.

Probably not for everyone but mainly created for its own sake in search of catharsis during lockdown’s solitude and soul searching long days and nights.

Josette Reynolds was so kind to provide some extra info about featuring guest vocalists:

“Eric Castiglia from Italy sings on the track »The Idea Of Hope Remains But The Hope Itself Is Gone«. The vocals are screamed and fairly aggressive. Eric’s Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/supercast/videos.

Alium from the United States sings on two tracks on the album, »The Hadal Level« and »Death By Glacier«. His style employs a mix of clean and screamed vocals.

Marianna from Brasil sings on »Nuclear Wind Blues« and sings in a clean haunting style.

Nathan from France sings on the songs »The Melanope« and »Silence Mortal« and uses both clean and screamed vocals.”
