Wizard Tattoo, the mesmerizing Indianpolis rock band from multi-instrumentalist Bram the Bard, is thrilled to announce the release of his latest single, »Any Which Way But Tuned«, from the highly anticipated album, »Fables Of The Damned«. The single is scheduled to hit the airwaves on May 12th, 2023, while the full album is set for release on June 23rd, 2023.

»Any Which Way But Tuned« takes inspiration from the iconic Clint Eastwood movies »Every Which Way But Loose« and »Any Which Way You Can«, captivating listeners with its acoustic soundscapes. The song, which was one of the final additions to the album, underwent a captivating evolution in the creative process. Originally envisioned as an upbeat track with a Dubliners-style ambiance, Bram the Bard made a bold artistic decision, transforming it into a somber and dark composition reminiscent of the spaghetti western genre. In an exciting twist, the song introduces a captivating new character known simply as the Brawler, blurring the lines between myth and reality.

Picking up where the self-titled EP left off, »Fables Of The Damned« continues the story of a man who gets a tattoo of a wizard and slowly loses his mind–while introducing new characters like the loser of the infamous battle from the previously released »Wizard Knife Fight« and more. Heavier and darker, »Fables Of The Damned« pulls from doom influences (Conan, SubRosa, Bongripper) with classic rock (Led Zeppelin, Mötley Crüe), as well as a healthy dose of 90s alternative (The Smashing Pumpkins, Alice In Chains, Ministry).

Mixed and mastered at Garage Fire Recordings, this album is also accompanied by original artwork, hand-drawn in a horror movie/comic-style, by Bram himself. These original illustrations brings »Fables Of The Damned« to life in a colorful and imaginative way.

The upcoming LP contains six tales of madness and one instrumental for anyone who dares listen. Get lost in »Fables Of The Damned« and enjoy the ride!
