Black Noon is a guitar and drum duo formed in Bologna, Italy in 2024. Their sound blends acid, scratchy guitar riffs with unusual meter and doom and metal drum rhythms. The band’s sonic direction is further defined by the addition of bass guitar, which opens the door to psychedelic and space rock improvisations.

Black Noon takes inspiration in their name from a 1970s horror western film that tells stories of magic and voodoo in the Old West. In their lyrics we find Lovecraftian and science fiction imagery.

About the EP:
»Dead Man« is the first EP of the band, released on August 29, 2025 on all digital platforms and Bandcamp.

»Dead Man«
This song is about humanity’s self-destructive tendencies and their effect on nature in general. It tells the story of how our species seems to have reached a dead end.

»Drops Of Rain«
Desert and dust, tears and inner conflict. A life lived at full throttle, complete with Mad Max-style motorcycle goggles, intersects with Lovecraftian visions of lost lands.

»Howling With The Wolfpack«
The essence of human nature is examined under a magnifying glass thanks to a werewolf gene. Devouring and hunting represent the new frontier for an ultra-human who has redeemed a life otherwise confined within the walls of an office.

»Out Of The Dirt«
A man lost in a labyrinth of the mind, disappointed by unfulfilled expectations, reworking grief. A story of getting “out of the mud” told through a heavy ballad.

Black Noon is:
Andrea Laino – Electric Guitar, Vocals
Michele Bastianini – Drums
Antonio Michelangelo Del Gaudio – Bass Guitar
