Rome, Italy based doom metal quartet Night Gaunt stream their third full-length album, entitled »Rupture«, which just dropped today, November 6th, 2026 through Aural Music.

Aural Music announces November 6th as the international release date for Night Gaunt’s highly anticipated third album, »Rupture«, on CD and vinyl LP formats.

Born in Rome in 2013, Night Gaunt have always pursued the hidden emotional landscapes that lie beyond the confines of conventional doom metal. Their music exists where overwhelming weight dissolves into fragile stillness, where darkness is not an aesthetic choice but an honest language through which loss, transformation, and resilience find their voice. Drawing from the solemn gravity of doom, the spectral melancholy of post-punk, the intimacy of dark folk, and the abrasive pulse of industrial music, the band has cultivated a sound that refuses permanence, embracing constant evolution instead.

Following years of performances throughout Italy and Europe, personal upheaval and artistic reinvention, Night Gaunt return with »Rupture« – not merely a new chapter, but the inevitable consequence of everything that came before.

Conceived over several years of relentless reworking, »Rupture« is an album born from erosion rather than accumulation. Songs were stripped back, dismantled, and rebuilt until only what truly mattered remained. Every note, every silence, and every shift in texture serves a single emotional current flowing beneath the record’s surface.

Doom metal remains its beating heart, yet the album moves with quiet confidence through desolate acoustic passages, haunted folk melodies, post-punk shadows, and industrial unease. These seemingly distant worlds converge into a work that feels less like a collection of songs than a solitary passage through fractured inner landscapes, where beauty reveals itself in decay and light exists only because darkness gives it shape.
