We are thrilled to introduce Desert Vultures, a Brazilian stoner rock band that emerged in 2020 as a side project of Void Tripper. While Void Tripper delves into heavy, gritty sludge influences, Desert Vultures draws inspiration from bands of the 70s heavy rock and psychedelic genres.
They are carving their path infusing sounds from bands such as Pentagram and Black Cat Bones, but also Dead Meadow. Some times raw heavy rock, other times more psychedelic.
Their debut EP, »Honey Beast«, is on the horizon, featuring 5 electrifying tracks brimming with stoner rock riffs.
The first single, named after the EP, drops July 13th. Don’t miss it out.

“Composing for me, and I think for many, is therapy, just like the riffs, I think about it in pieces and modify it over time.” – Anastácio explains.
“The lyrics basically came with a memory of a dream I had, where I was chased by a giant mythological being, who after some time discovered that it could be one of the forms of Beelzebub. But the funny thing is that music can take different forms and interpretations, so we can convey different ideas depending on the way you view what you’re listening to or reading.”
“We’re beckoned into the world of Desert Vultures with a trippy sun-touched riff that lingers like the humid haze of a lazy summer day. The song gets menacing with lumbering bass/drum rhythm, dank slow ‘n’ low guitar, and blunted vocals in the legacy of ’70s legends like Pentagram and Black Cat Bones.” – Billy Goate, Doomed & Stoned
