The band comments: “We are excited to announce the release of our second single, »Mountain Hag«, from our upcoming debut album due this year. Following up from the first single, »Beware«, which introduced the band through our ethereal and atmospheric combination of doom, psychedelia, goth rock, and groove metal influences.
»Mountain Hag« pushes the band in another territory – exploring and celebrating our appreciation for prog through various time signatures, tempo changes, and concept-driven lyrics; resulting in a near 10-minute epic all while still maintaining our signature doom and stoner metal sound. We invite you to traverse the mysterious, musical landscape of »Mountain Hag« – now available on all streaming platforms and Bandcamp!”

Mothertomb is an emerging female-fronted doom metal band from the rural woods of Northern Michigan. Conjuring crushing riffs with a dark, ethereal resonance, their haunting and hypnotic sound channels influence from various genres ranging from doom, stoner, and psychedelia. Mothertomb have recently released their debut single, »Beware«, a track built on an ominous atmosphere, and a deliberate, heavy crawl meant to evoke a sense of dread and tension. »Beware« is the first glimpse into Mothertomb’s upcoming debut album, due in 2026.
