Bellingham, Washington based heavy psychedelic rockers Old World Astronaut return with their second full-length album, »Lightbearer«, which was just released on July 8th, 2026.

Old World Astronaut is a heavy psychedelic rock band hailing from Bellingham, Washington. The trio consists of Mike Mason (guitar and vocals), Graham Johnson (bass and vocals), and Tom White (drums).

Their core sound heavily borrows from desert rock and classic stoner metal while paving a progressive, atmospheric path entirely their own. Mind-melding psychedelic soundscapes, crushing riffs, melodic grooves, captivating harmonies, and lyrics which weave stories and themes across space and time.

Old World Astronaut quickly established themselves as a mainstay in the Bellingham and greater Pacific Northwest heavy music scenes. They have also made appearances at prominent regional festivals, including the NW Tune-Up festival.

Their sophomore album »Lightbearer« is available now on Bandcamp and CD, exclusive to the band’s shows and Bellingham independent record stores. Streaming release coming soon…
