The Answer Lies In The Black Void is thrilled to announce the release of their new single and video »Mists Of Krakatoa«, an adaptation of a track from bassist Jason Köhnen’s previous band, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble. Originally featured on the 2009 album Here Be Dragons, this haunting piece has been reimagined and revitalized for a new audience.

Composed by Jason Köhnen and Gideon Kiers, the song also features lyrics and vocals from the original performance by Charlotte Cegarra, and includes violins by Sarah Anderson, bass and soundscapes by Attila Kovacs, vocals by Martina Horváth and instrumentation, mix, and mastering by Jason Köhnen. In addition to the video release, the band is offering this track as a free/pay-what-you-like Halloween gift to fans, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in its desolate and atmospheric soundscape.

In other news, The Answer Lies In The Black Void is currently in the studio recording their third album, tentatively set for release in mid-2025.

The Answer Lies In The Black Void is a collaboration between Martina Horváth from avant-garde metal project Thy Catafalque and Jason Köhnen from Celestial Season, The Lovecraft Sextet, Bong-Ra, ex-The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, the duo also work together in the transcendental music project Mansur that releases on Denovali Records.

Horváth and Köhnen joined forces through their passion for all things doom, presenting their personal take on the genre with all its beautiful darkness and from all possible angles. Bringing their own mix of atmospheric laden avant-doom.
