Stonethroat was born out of the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne Australia in 2015 by Jeremy Lovie (Hormagaunt, Gravepeeler) and Julian Lucas. The concept of Stonethroat has always been to not pigeon hole our music and to write and release whatever comes to us. The band has been through numerous drummer changes but in 2021 were lucky to meet and start working with Dave Summerton (ex-Blunt Shovel) and finally released their debut album in 2025.
