Baroness’ recently released new album, »Stone« (Abraxan Hymns) gets the deluxe treatment with the addition of six live tracks from the band’s 2022 “Your Baroness” tour. »Stone (Deluxe)« can be heard here.

The band has also announced an additional eight acoustic record store performances, with the first of those outings happening this afternoon at Daddy Kool Records in St. Petersburg, FL.

“Independent music stores are a huge part of our musical background,” John Baizley said as Baroness announced the first round of acoustic record store outings. “We discovered so much music in them as teenagers; they undoubtedly had a profound effect on all of our development as young artists (they still do). We are thrilled to be able to travel around the East Coast this September to play stripped down sets in some of our favorite shops.”

Fans and critics alike have embraced the DIY-nature of »Stone«, with Baroness self-producing the album and the slate of videos that have accompanied its release. Revolver, in their current Baroness cover story, said “their sixth full-length is a cathartic testament to both fearless self-reflection and the important of strengthening bonds.” Kerrang!, from their newly released cover feature, declared “»Stone« marks the beginning of a bold new era,” and Brooklyn Vegan described said the new music finds “Baroness at their most alive and direct.”

About Baroness:

Baroness, founded in 2003, is John Baizley (vocals/guitar), Gina Gleason (guitar), Nick Jost (bass) and Sebastian Thomson (drums). The Philadelphia-meets-Brooklyn foursome have released five full-length albums to date: »Gold & Grey« (2019), »Purple« (2015), »Yellow & Green« (2012), »Blue Record« (2009), and the »Red Album« (2007). The band have won widespread praise throughout their career, continually finding their albums on year-end best of lists, and receiving their first Grammy nomination in 2017 for the song »Shock Me«. On their most recent album, »Gold & Grey«, NPR said the collection ‘feels like a callback to the heyday of the rock album as art object” before confidently declaring the album as “the sound of a band becoming a universe unto itself.” The Savannah-born Baroness continue to reach new heights, with each release providing a spellbinding new chapter in the storied history of one of modern hard rock’s most critically-acclaimed and beloved bands.
