Oakland, California based alternative/hard rock trio Doctor, Doctor has announced their new single »Bad Case Of Lovin’ You«, which will drop on September 26th, 2025.

Doctor, Doctor reimagine Moon Martin’s song, popularised by Robert Palmer, with a darker, heavier approach. The band shift the piece into a minor key and open with 80s inspired synths, then drive the tension with layered guitar work that replaces the original’s straight solo with detailed, textural lines. The rhythm section stays relentless, and the vocal takes on a shadowed tone to match the concept. The single’s visual sets the mood as well, with J horror influenced cover art that shows a girl in an asylum holding a heart.

Recorded, mixed and mastered at Cactus House Recording by Trevor Gabriel, this version aims squarely at modern rock and metal playlists while keeping the song’s core hook intact.
