Sun & Moon Records has just released a remastered vinyl edition of Briton Rites 2010’s debut album »For Mircalla« on August 1st, 2023.

Coming from Kentucky, USA, led by Cauldron Born’s Howie Bentley, Briton Rites plays occult doom/British style heavy metal in the traditon of early Black Sabbath, Pentagram and Witchfinder General.
The formation of Briton Rites was inspired by the 1872 novella by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu titled, »Carmilla«. This album perfectly captures the atmosphere of nineteenth-century Gothic horror in literature, as well as films such as those released by Hammer in the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s.
Enter a world of Gothic Horror and the occult with heavy-as-lead riffing and vocals that evoke images of fogbound graveyards, and vampire women.
