Sounds For The Lost Generation

Californian heavy psych rock band Volume covers Love & Rockets track »No New Tale To Tell«

Twentynine Palms, California based heavy psych rockers Volume led by Patrick Brink have released a cover of Love & Rockets track »No New Tale To Tell« from their summer series of covers. Available now on Spotify and other streaming platforms!

Volume releases their 3rd cover tune »No New Tale To Tell« by Love & Rockets on their final installment of the short summer series of covers. »No New Tale To Tell« is an extension of the Volume sound. At first this might seem a stretch for fans of Volume but Love & Rockets has always been a big influence on Patrick Brink so it was a matter of time. Love & Rockets were key in influencing Patrick’s taste for dark psychedelic music being the gateway to early recordings by Pink Floyd, Hawkwind, 13 Floor Elevators, and even early Sonic Youth. Gone are the total blown out fuzz guitars but the intensity and rawness remains with a touch of acid tinge echoes of acoustic guitar tracks.

If you want a change of pace without a total departure from Volume check out their version of »No New Tale To Tell« today! Streaming everywhere and available on band camp for NYP at volume-rocks.bandcamp.com/album/no-new-tale-to-tell.

Recorded in 2003 at The Distillery (RIP) with Mike Mchugh engineering.
