Known for their intoxicating fusion of psychedelic rock, punk rock, grunge, and stoner blues, We Kill Cowboys bring both grit and finesse to their unique sound, making waves on the South African rock scene and beyond.
Formed by tattoo artist and singer/guitarist Alex Muller, We Kill Cowboys thrives on raw, high-energy storytelling that’s as powerful as it is profound. Muller’s raw vocals lend a magnetic force to the band’s unapologetic exploration of anti-establishment themes, while their musicality – anchored by Mornay’s searing guitar riffs, Andrew’s thunderous drums, and Miggs’ deep, fuzz-laden bass grooves – cements their signature edge. Their latest single, »Burn The Witch« is an explosive anthem inspired by the resilience of women throughout history. “The challenges women have faced since the beginning of time, being victimized, ostracized, and literally burnt alive… the song isn’t only expressing these challenges from a societal or physical perspective, but also an emotional, personal, and spiritual perspective,” shares frontwoman Alex Muller. “It’s about embracing the power within, finding acceptance in one’s femininity, trusting one’s intuition, and breaking generational cycles. Letting out the rage.”
