Catalan death/doom metal band God’s Funeral announces debut album »El Despertar Dels Morts« on Meuse Music Records and premiere title track!

Tarragona, Spain based death/doom metal trio God’s Funeral has signed with Meuse Music Records for the release of their debut album, »El Despertar Dels Morts«, which will see the light on August 15th, 2025.

God’s Funeral is a death/doom metal band formed in 2016 in Tarragona (Spain).

The sound is a combination of death/doom with faster death metal and black metal elements. Recently, the band is also delving into funeral doom.

»El Despertar Dels Morts« (The Awakening Of The Dead) is the band’s first album after several split releases published along eight years.

It consists of 5 songs with a total duration of 45 minutes where music mixes melodic death doom with some of the slowest parts the band has ever recorded.

The lyrics are a conceptual story about the First World War, blending war stories with more personal ones.
