Costa Rican death/doom metal band Perishing signs to Transcending Obscurity Records; new single »Castle Of The Leached Body« out now!

San José, Costa Rica based death/doom metal band Perishing has unleashed their new single »Castle Of The Leached Body«.

This is the first single taken from Perishing’s debut full-length album, titled »Malicious Acropolis Unveiled«, which will be released soon through Transcending Obscurity Records.

We’re pleased to work with Perishing from Costa Rica which has members of Astriferous, Mortual, Necroferum, etc. They’re playing dark, weighty death/doom metal or as they like to call it “punishing slow death” which is just as fitting. Following their well-received demo, this will be their eagerly anticipated debut full-length which will be released by us on all formats. You can listen to one of the songs from it here.

The band’s statement: “We are honored to become part of the Transcending Obscurity Records family and partake in their absolute dedication to extreme music and to releasing some of the most amazing and detailed physical media in the market is a great privilege for us.

This debut album presents our interpretation of suffocating, hopeless old school death doom metal. Lyrically we revolve around death being the epicenter of the body’s connection to the elemental.”
