Crimson Gallows releases first lyric video »The Burden Of Silence« from upcoming debut album »The Bitter Scriptures«

Finnish melancholic metal act Crimson Gallows has released a lyric video for »The Burden Of Silence«, the first single from their upcoming debut album »The Bitter Scriptures«, due out on February 13th, 2026.

»The Burden Of Silence« explores suppressed horror and the dark corners of the human mind.

»The Burden Of Silence« is based on a real-life case revealed in Oulu, Finland, in 2014 – one of the most disturbing murder cases in the country’s recent history. The song draws inspiration from events in which a mother had secretly given birth to and killed five newborn children in her home, hiding the bodies in her basement. Rather than focusing on shock value, the band approaches the subject with gravity and restraint, examining the weight of guilt and the overwhelming psychological burden tied to unspoken trauma.

Musically, the track reflects these themes through slow, oppressive atmospheres, mournful melodies, and emotionally heavy lyrics, all of which are emphasized in the stark and somber lyric video.

Formed in 2023, Crimson Gallows is the personal project of Finnish multi-instrumentalist Arvid Kuura, who handles all instrumentation and composition. The project draws influence from melancholic doom-oriented metal, focusing on themes of despair, moral decay, and human fragility.
