Czech death/doom icons Dissolving Of Prodigy to release their last studio song »Zlodějská světélka« on January 30th via Pařát Productions!

Czech death/doom metal icons Dissolving Of Prodigy will release their last studio song »Zlodějská světélka« (Lights Of Thieves) for the first time on vinyl on January 30th, 2026 via Pařát Productions.

Recorded in 2010, »Zlodějská světélka« was previously available on the compilation CD »Unveiling The Signs«.

“When I sent out the »Zlodějská světélka« CD for manufacturing in April 2025, it was clear that the final original song by Dissolving Of Prodigy would also be released on vinyl at some point. I just didn’t know when. It was only this summer that Valda, the flautist, advised me that another milestone in his life was slowly approaching. He’s turning 50 and thus the LP is released on January 30, 2026, to be seen as a birthday present for his half-century on earth. On the same day as the CD re-release of the album »Štvanice«.

For years, one of the songs by Dissolving Of Prodigy remained in the background. Perhaps because the band recorded it in 2010 only for the sake of the CD compilation »Unveiling The Signs«, whereupon Dissolving Of Prodigy appeared together with Pantheïst, Gallileous, Wijlen Wij and the solo project of Kostas Panagiotou, frontman of Pantheïst and Wijlen Wij. The compilation was created thanks to Kostas’s friendship with former Gallileous drummer Mirek, who in turn was friends with Fusaty and at the same time with the owner of now defunct Polish UG label Redrum 666. Sort of a typical underground network, you might say (smile).

Of course, I knew about »Unveiling The Signs« at the time of its release and in Pařát Magazine #36 (October 2010) I devoted a lot of space to this compilation and specifically to the representatives of each of the bands. At least since 2020, when »Unveiling The Signs« celebrated its ten-year anniversary, I’ve been wondering where to add »Zlodějská světélka« someday. As a bonus to which reissue? Actually, the solution was quite simple and it hit me as late as in 2024, when the fifteen-year anniversary of the recording and release of the song was approaching. Don’t add it anywhere, release it as a standalone title. With its own cover art, with its own commemorative booklet… This happened under the label Pařát Productions exactly on May 11, 2025.

For Dissolving Of Prodigy fans and collectors, among whom I proudly count myself, this was another opportunity to add a release – the first one of the title concerned – to their collection! Indeed, »Zlodějská světélka« came out for the first time on a standalone CD and with an extensive booklet full of memories, mainly of the period when Dissolving Of Prodigy with Fusaty at the helm recorded their penultimate studio song, which was also to be their last original studio song. It was performed live only once, at the Tančírna club in Ostrava in 2011.

Let’s admit that the release of a CD offering a single song of 14 minutes was already an unusual feat. And the LP release is no different. It is not traditionally divided into sides A and B. It is a one song story.” — Petr Herdron, November 2025
