“Today marks the release of Spiracle’s »Ossiphage«, a record I am really proud to be releasing. I first heard these songs when we were recording with Forged Relics last year in Copenhagen and our producer Marcus played it to us.
We instantly fell in love with the record and asked Solveig to do some additional vocals for the track »Catacombs For The Broken Stars (Eternal Desert)«.
We started talking about getting the record pressed on vinyl and lo and behold, almost exactly a year later, the record is out today!
Limited to 300 copies on black vinyl it comes in a beautiful packaging with an OBI strip, all designed by Solveig’s long-time collaborator Tobias Holmbeck.
»Ossiphage« is a record I absolutely loved from the very first moment I heard it. It’s a very emotional record, it takes me to a lot of different places, good ones as much as bad ones, but all of them where I need to be.
I have listened to it almost every evening before falling asleep this summer. It calmed me down, gave me the space to sort out my thoughts and deal with the immense loss of losing people close to me. It might just be the timing of things, but this turned out to be one of those records that will forever keep a special place in my heart and has marked an important part of my life. It means so much more to be able to be part of a release like this.
Thank you for taking the time to read all of this, if you’ve come this far, and hope you can find a perfect moment for yourself to dive into this record as well.”

»Ossiphage« – Spiracle’s first full-length album, written and produced by Copenhagen-based multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Solveig Roseth – comes together as a sonic treatise on a shared fragility; how bodies break, in a world that not only diminishes their suffering, but also revels in it. The album is released via Rope or Guillotine on November 6th 2025.
Primarily recorded and produced by Roseth herself, later mastered by Marcus Ferreira of No Master’s Voice Studios, the album is comprised of music written and originally released between 2019 – 2023 as singles and EPs, all part of the same distinct period and aesthetic vision.
»Ossiphage« intertwines heavy soundscapes and melodic fragility, accompanied by Roseth’s ethereal voice, sonically reflecting the album’s themes. The alt-pop hooks and glass-like vocals on the album’s first single Unmaking are contrasted by the drones and dissonance on »Soma« – featuring synths by Tobias Holmbeck, Roseth’s long-time collaborator and the artist behind »Ossiphage«’s cover design. The pulsing heartbeats on Lifelover, and aching vocals merged with harsh noise on Flintenweiber, lash out, while piano pieces framing each end of the album offer a brittle, melancholic respite.
Performing, writing, and producing under varying monikers, collaborative constellations, and genres for well over a decade, Roseth explores the aesthetic, emotional, and sonic potential found in her preoccupation with body studies and psychoanalysis through Spiracle, named for the respiratory organs in the skin of some animals, that dissolve boundaries and, by making breath possible, make matter into life.
