Actus Septem is a black/doom metal band from Lamia, Greece, established in 2016. The band consists of three members, who are brothers. Their first performance took place in the small city of Lamia located in Central Greece. Since then they have been mainly performing in Athens, Greece.
On July 10th, 2025 Actus Septem released their second full-length album »The Bleeding« via Fatres Records refering to the strugle one has to overcome beyond memories and selfcorruption, to bear living with his own conscience – to accept forgiveness.
Actus Septem are Giorgos Moschos (vocals), Nick Moschos (guitars, drums) and E. Moschos (guitars).
Can you please say a few words about your band?
Hi, we are Actus Septem. A band that was formed through the need of expression of music inside a familiar circle. You probably know we are a band of brothers for real. We were formed 9 years ago in January 2016. Now it seems a little weird that we count almost a decade of existence. We play black doom metal. Not by purpose but by need. We want to express ourselves through music. This is not something new. We play music as a remission. Maybe we just play rock and roll, following the words of the titan Lemmy. We have released an EP entitled »Days Of The Fall«, and two LPs, entitled »The Catechism Of Death« and The Bleeding.
What was the biggest challenge for the band?
As a band with no professional experience on the scene our biggest challenge is to connect with a label and to try take our space with no manager or representative. We have this romantic idea in our minds that’s probably wrong that if you are passionate with what you express and true, someone will notice. The past for years have been harder in this direction but we keep believing. We don’t try to live through our music. We live for this music of Actus Septem because living this way becomes more pleasant to bear.
What can you be most proud of so far?
The whole idea of Actus Septem was jamming in the studio. Nine years later, we see our name, Actus Septem travelling globally in the underground. We give our efforts for this. We believe that even one human is listening to us, to our music if we connect with our truth this is all we need. That connection is for sure something to be proud of.
What was your biggest regret?
Our regrets, comes through life. Living is bleeding, we already stated that on out new album. »The Bleeding« is Living and the only regret is bleeding less for the ones that count in life. If someone deserves your blood you have to bleed. We regret for the deception in our life. “Deception Comforts Everyone” is a lyric of our last track of »The Bleeding«, Transmitted with Evil. When you want not to be decepted comes pain – it is an endless fate through life. That’s why the regret must be on something you cannot just remain. This is where our regret lives.

What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
Until this point we haven’t been on a live tour. We have just played for some time now for ourselves. We would maybe enjoy a tour but until this moment we don’t focus on that.
What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
The scene can surprise you with the amount of people who try to welcome you as a part of them. It’s a community full of people trying to help you improve, try to understand you and in many cases even if the don;t unsdertand you try to include you with on second thoughts. This is really special and I think you cannot find this feeling of wholeness in any other scene.
What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
As it is already mentioned before, the metal scene is open to whoever comes. We have the chance to contact legends of the scene and musicians, engineers with really remarkable routes – underground or not. Someone of those just told us – the only thing that matters is creating music for your soul – and we try to follow this advice.
What are your guilty pleasures?
Does heavy metal barbeque in the mountains count? Because maybe I am super guilty.
Can you say something more about the current music scene in Lamia?
We come from a small town in Central Greece, It is called Lamia. The city has given some jewels like Hostage, Human Serpent, and Moeror. At this point the scene feels dead. It’s a small town, and creation is hard there. There is no space and people who own the studio have run out of ideas for music. Ten years earlier there were some people who truly were trying to help metal, to host metal events, to create small metal fests. Now this is all gone. But we are proud that we come from this city, a city of million scars. We have a great relationship with the Human Serpent Members and of course with the members from Moeror – who continue their musical fate. Without those guys, we wouldn’t have released those to LPs, »The Catechism Of Death«, and now »The Bleeding«. But in general the hellenic metal scene continues to have a rise. One of those bands is Warhammer. They focus on the music and nothing more.
Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
We haven’t arranged anything for this year. We have some thoughts but nothing more. It is hard because as Actus Septem we live in different locations, inside and outside of Greece due to labor reasons.
What are your plans for the future as a band?
We have some ideas for next year, 2026, for the 10 years of Actus Septem. We are focusing on some covers and new merch. For sure we will continue with another album. We have the idea of a neverending discography.
At this point we have changed our style a bit. Not in a dramatic way. We just focus on being somewhat closer in a more heavy sound. More compact sound. More natural sound. This leads to a more blackened doom sound with maybe more gothic shades. We hope people will like it, through »The Bleeding«.
How can people best support your band?
There are several ways of doing that. Buying our merch though our Bandcamp is a way. But it can be done just by following our music in the digital channels like Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook. The best way of supporting us is by giving us feedback for our releases. We believe in this community.
Do you have any message for your listeners?
We want to thank everyone for the support of the band, from our first release EP »Days Of The Fall« in 2020, untill now with »The Bleeding«. We want you to continue as long as you connect with Actus Septem to support us, in any way you like. We deeply thank you for all the time you spend listening to Actus Septem. We know listening to an underground band like Actus Septem is by choice. This makes it even sweeter for us. We only ask you to Spread two words – Actus Septem – and stay metal. Because metal is all about us.
