Can you please say a few words about your band?
This Love Is Drone is a synth-infused stoner rock band from Northern Ontario, Canada. Our music is always changing and evolving, but those are our roots. Sometimes we’re instrumental, sometimes we have vocals.
What was the biggest challenge for the band?
I’d say the biggest challenge is always just scheduling and making time for the band. Some of us live in different towns and we all work, so it can be pretty to get all 4 of us in the same room.
What can you be most proud of so far?
In general, I’d say we’re proud of how we’ve been embraced as a band, not just in the community but in the stoner/doom community as well. It’s been amazing.
What was your biggest regret?
I’m not sure we have any regrets yet! We’ve been having a blast.
What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
There’s usually something that stands out about every show, but the best one was probably our album release show back in May. It was packed and everyone was having a great time.
What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
How hard it is to get people’s attention. If you post something on social media on the wrong day or at the wrong time, you risk your content not being seen. We try our best to stay relevant though!
What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Black Sabbath, Uncle Acid, Ragana.

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
No one will notice your mistakes as much as you do, try not to sweat it.
What are your guilty pleasures?
Kissing my bandmates on stage.
Can you say something more about the current music scene in Ontario?
Our scene is pretty great. Lots of great bands and lots of support!
Where can we see you live soon (concerts/tours)?
We will for sure play a lot in Northern Ontario in 2026, but we are hoping to go down South. Maybe East and West if we’re lucky!
What are your plans for the future as a band?
Honestly just blasting riffs and playing shows. Nothing beats that!
How can people best support your band?
Listen to our music (any streaming service), follow us on Instagram and send us a message if you like our music! We love to hear from people who like the music.
Do you have any message for your listeners?
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
