Bordeaux, France based alternative/grunge rock band Seeds Of Mary presents their fourth full-length album, »Love«, which was just released this Friday, October 18th, 2024 via Klonosphere Records / Season Of Mist.

Formed in 2011, Seeds Of Mary quickly established themselves in the Bordeaux music scene with their metal-infused rock sound. After releasing their first EP in 2013 and playing numerous gigs in their region, the band embarked on nationwide tours while working on their debut full-length album, »Choose Your Lie«, released in 2015. With this release, Seeds Of Mary honed their artistic direction, embracing dark atmospheres, heavy riffs, and prominent vocal harmonies. The album received enthusiastic reviews from the media and opened doors to larger audiences.

Building on their live experience alongside bands like Nashville Pussy, Peter Pan Speedrock, Klone, and Aqme, Seeds Of Mary returned to the studio to craft their next album, »The Blackbird And The Dying Sun«, released on October 20th via Klonosphere Records. Produced and recorded by David Thiers (Gorod & Architect Of Seth), this album saw the band further refining their sound, adding depth and personality. The result was a darker, yet more melodic, mature, and powerful offering.

In 2020, Seeds Of Mary continued their evolution with the release of »Serendipity«, showcasing their ability to grow and adapt without succumbing to fleeting musical trends. Their sound – violent yet ethereal, and difficult to categorize – remains rooted in their diverse influences.

Now, with their forthcoming album »LOVE«, Seeds Of Mary continue to deliver those big, bottom-heavy riffs that recall Alice In Chains, coupled with dark and somewhat melancholic choruses. However, this new album also sees the band venturing into heavier and darker territories, incorporating more aggressive and screamed vocals that add a raw edge to their music. With introspective lyrics and a raw emotional core, these “bad seeds” continue to flourish, and »LOVE« promises to be yet another testament to their rapid growth and strength as a band.
