Vigo, Spain based doom/stoner metal band Lucifèrnaga (feat. members of Supa Scoopa, The Mirage, Supernatural, Mano de Piedra & more) stream their debut album, »Mala Bësta«, which was just released on June 5th, 2025 via A.T.P.C. Records in CD, vinyl and digital formats.

»Mala Bësta«, the first album Spain’s doom metal torchbearers Luciférnaga, was released on June 5th . With a sonic palette that shifts between monolithic heaviness and hypnotic, melancholic melodies, the album weaves a rich tapestry of despair and introspection. Luciférnaga’s signature blend of crushing riffs and atmospheric passages finds new depth here, guided by vocals delivered entirely in Galician, evoking the raw poetry of their homeland.

»Mala Bësta« draws from the decay of the world and the human spirit, spiritual disillusionment, and profound personal loss. The album pulses with the weight of funeral dirges while moments of melodic clarity provide an almost meditative counterbalance, like fragile light breaking through a storm.

»Mala Bësta« isn’t just an album – it’s a lament, a ritual, and a stark reminder of our shared mortality. It invites listeners into the brooding world of Luciférnaga, where the shadows speak Galician truths, and the mala bësta (the “evil beast”) is both a symbol of doom and a witness to our fragility.

The album is self-released through A.T.P.C. Records in CD, vinyl and digital versions. The vinyl edition contains 8 songs, although CD and digital editions will have 3 bonus tracks in addition to those same 8 songs. All formats available now on Lucifernaga’s Bandcamp.

A reduced version of the album with 4 songs will also be available through Spotify.

Formed in 2024 by musicians with over 20 years of stage experience, Luciférnaga is more than just a band; it is a sonic entity that embodies the very essence of doom and stoner metal. Each member brings a wealth of experience, having played in well-known Galician rock and metal bands throughout their prolific careers, including: Supa Scoopa, The Mirage, Supernatural, In.Verno, N.O.T., and Mano de Piedra.

The band members are Fran Álvarez (bass and backing vocals), Mano García (guitar and backing vocals), Suso Valcárcel (drums), and Quini Estévez (lead vocals and guitar).
