Indonesian stoner/doom/heavy metal band Jawless released their new EP »The Wrath King« via Hawar Press; available now on Bandcamp!

Bandung, Indonesia based stoner/doom/heavy metal trio Jawless presents their new EP, entitled »The Wrath King«, which was just released on December 1st, 2023 via Hawar Press.

»The Wrath King« EP is available in digital format with cassettes following in January 2024.

On this Friday, December 1, 2023, Jawless launched its newest EP entitled »The Wrath King«. This EP was released via Hawar Press and can now be heard on Bandcamp. In this EP, to be precise, on its two newest tracks, Jawless will take its listeners on a fantasy adventure in ancient times where many fictional stories still exist today. Manifestation of events in the absence of an era, which occurs in mythological stories A really great story is written in lyrics and covered in music, which can give more feelings to listeners and people who know the story. In the EP, there are 4 tracks, 2 of which are the latest material from Jawless, and the other 2 tracks are tracks from Jawless’s first album that were properly reworked during the production process.

This EP was completely created by Jawless, and then the mixing and mastering process was carried out by Amous WP. Apart from that, there were also those involved in the process of creating this latest EP from Jawless. The artwork on this EP, Jawless, involves Ading Atma, an artist from Palembang. This EP will also be produced in January 2024 in the form of a cassette tape by Hawar Press.

In terms of processing time, this EP took approximately 1 year, which is quite a long time because the intensity of the work can be said to be very slow due to the busy schedule of each Jawless personnel. The reason why this EP was launched is because Jawless wants to close 2023 with a work, and this work will be a bridge to their next full album. It is worth looking forward to because, after this EP, Jawless has already compiled some material for their newest album next year.

The majority of the working process for this EP was carried out at the Bandung Creative Hub Recording Studio, except for Yudha’s guitar recording process, which was carried out separately. Overall, the process of working on this EP did not encounter too many obstacles, but only in terms of time. Jawless personnel found it difficult.

Jawless is a stoner/doom/heavy metal band originating from the city of Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Jawless was formed in October 2019. Jawless members at that time consisted of 4 people, namely Toni on bass and vocals, Yudha on lead guitar, Bob on rhythm guitar, and Essa on drums. Then, in 2022, Jawless will have 3 remaining members, namely Toni, Yudha, and Bob. Jawless first launched their work in July 2021, namely a live EP entitled »Total War Stoner«, which they released on Bandcamp. Their debut album was launched a year later, precisely in February 2022. The album, entitled »Warrizer«, was released on cassette tape and can also be listened to on all platforms digital music.
