Witches Tears is a psychedelic stoner/doom metal band from Scituate, Massachusetts.

“We are Witches Tears, bringing you unholy doom metal from the foggy, sanctimonious marshes of Scituate, and we fucking hate you.”

Shrouded in fog, Witches Tears hails from the snowswept salt marshes of Boston’s south shore, bringing you your daily dose of psychedelic doom metal. With a dash of Sabbath, a pinch of Dopethrone, and an uppercut from whatever an ethereal version of Motörhead might sound like, Witches Tears released their debut full-length album in March 2023, entitled »Living With Fear«.

The song »Ótta« was originally recorded back in 2013 by close friends and masters of ambient metal, the Icelandic band Sólstafir, with Witches Tears’ bassist Bowen Staines present for the recording sessions at Sundlaugin studio, famously built around an old swimming pool by members of Sigur Rós. »Ótta« was then completely rebuilt from the ground up in 2023 by the three gents in Witches Tears, with entirely new instrumentation, unique lyrical arrangements, and a revamped, totally original structure.

»Living With Fear« was released on March 17th, 2023 via Wreckless Wreck Chords and is available on physical media and on all digital platforms.
