Italian instrumental prog/psych rock outfit Asa’s Mezzanine unveils new single and music video »Janara«

Italian instrumental prog/psych rock band Asa’s Mezzanine has unveiled a music video for the first single »Janara« taken from their upcoming album, »Rest And Fight«, scheduled for release on January 4th, 2025 via Overdub Recordings. Listen to new single on all major streaming services.

The band comments: »Janara« is suspended tension between light and darkness, calm and storm. Like ancient spirits with occult, ambiguous and dual forces. Our body follows an ancestral rhythm, adapting to brightness or darkness. It’s an impulse that keeps us alive and alert.”

Asa’s Mezzanine unfolded their vision in 2021, blending keyboards, synths, drums, bass, and guitars into a unique sonic tapestry. Their approach to art rock, stoner, metal, progressive, doom, cinema and a wide-angle range of influences crafted an intense, dark and rhythmically complex sound. Their first single, released in 2021, set the stage for their musical journey with its heavy atmospheres, percussive riffs, and occult scenarios.

In July 2022, they released their first studio album, »When She Met Herself«. This concept album, accompanied by a short story and an artbook limited edition written in collaboration with novelist Paolo Sirio, offers a multisensory experience that combines both listening and reading.

In May 2024 they landed at Monolith Recording Studio to record their second album with Filippo Buono (sound, mix and master engineer), soon to be released with Overdub Recordings.

»Janara« is the first single from »Rest And Fight«, the new concept album by Asa’s Mezzanine, which combines music and storytelling, set for release January 14th, 2025 by Overdub Recordings.
